What it's for:
This tool will aid in creating multiple slashdot logins. Slashdot only allows one username per email address, which can make it time-consuming to create additional accounts. Using this tool, you can use a one-time email address, the sole purpose of which is to receive the email from slashdot that lets you claim your account.
How to use:
- Create a new account on slashdot. Make sure that you uncheck the "Replies to my comments will be mailed to me" checkbox, and do not check the "Send me the newsletter" or "Send me the daily headlines" boxes, since you won't be receiving any email at this account. Enter an email address with a username that contains the word "jihad" at anti-slash.org. For example, the following addresses will all work:
- jihad@anti-slash.org
- jihadi@anti-slash.org
- ilovethejihad@anti-slash.org
- Then, go to the list of emails. This list will show all of the recent emails sent do addresses like those above. You can find the email sent to you by looking for the username you chose, as well as looking for the approximate time that you created the account.
- Once you have found your email, click on the link. You will see the password for your username, and a link to follow to change your password. It is highly recommended that you change this as soon as you can.
Notes:
- All emails that match the above patterns are available for viewing on the list of emails. The main purpose of the list is to let people see a password for a new account, but all other emails will still be shown. This can be helpful if you need to see a lost password email.
- Currently, access to the emails is only restricted to Jihad members. That means that when you create your account, someone else could see the email before you do, and change the password in order to hijack the account you are trying to create for yourself. This is why it is important to change your password quickly.
- Since the email addresses you can choose from are somewhat restricted, you may find it difficult to choose a free email address. To help with this, you can look at the list of emails already used to pick one that hasn't been used yet.
