Facts

On March 4, 2004, CmdrTaco posted this story to the front page of Slashdot. The error was corrected a while after the story was posted (the exact time is unknown, but it is seen that at least 113 comments had been posted before the error was remedied).

Commentary

This is yet another example of the unprofessional production quality of Slashdot. That Taco can't do a simple preview on something that will soon be on the front page of one of the most-visited sites on the internet speaks volumes about the quality of Slashdot as a whole. Furthermore, this error ran unchecked for at least 20 minutes, since it was shown to subscribers before it went to the public front page (although it is not seen in this capture, the account viewing that page was not a subscriber).
